Inside story of Faulkner’s non-payment accusation towards PCB
James Faulkner of the Quetta Gladiators has accused the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of failing to pay his contractual payment for season seven of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In a series of tweets, the Australian all-rounder described the PCB’s treatment of him as “a disgrace.”
“I apologise to the Pakistan cricket fans. But unfortunately I’ve had to withdraw from the last 2 matches and leave the PSL due to the PCB not honouring my contractual agreement/payments. I’ve been here the whole duration and they have continued to lie to me,” he tweeted.

It hurts to leave as I wanted to help to get international cricket back in Pakistan as there is so much young talent and the fans are amazing.
But the treatment I have received has been a disgrace from the @TheRealPCB and @thePSLt20
I’m sure you all understand my position.— James Faulkner (@JamesFaulkner44) February 19, 2022
According to reports, Faulkner was paid 70% of his salary in the midst of the HBL PSL edition, exactly like the PCB pays all of its participating players.
The PCB moved his money to his specified Australian bank account, but Faulkner stated that he no longer uses that account and gave new account information.
PCB requested a refund from the bank, but the bank refused, setting up the entire scenario. In protest, Faulkner did not participate in yesterday’s match against the Multan Sultans and was sent home early today.
He destroyed the hotel’s property before leaving and had to pay damages when he checked out. He misbehaved again with security officers at Lahore immigration, prompting the case to be elevated to higher authorities.
Meanwhile, PCB and the Quetta Gladiators have taken note of Faulkner’s incorrect and misleading charges and will issue a comment on the subject shortly.
