PCB Chairman spends a busy day in Karachi
From 27 January to 7 February, the opening leg of the seventh edition of one of the most coveted cricket leagues in the world will be contested at the National Stadium in Karachi.
On Tuesday morning, Mr Ramiz Raja met with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah at the CM House. Various PCB initiatives for talent-hunting and grooming in Sindh, as well as arrangements for the successful hosting of the HBL PSL in Karachi, were addressed at length during the meeting.
Mr Ramiz Raja met with senior police officers, district administrators, Sindh government officials, and security officials later in the day to discuss the HBL PSL Karachi leg’s staging.
The purpose of the conference was to examine all available methods and procedures to ensure that cricket fans have a smooth admission to the National Stadium while also providing world-class facilities, such as a fan park.
All parties pledged their full support for PCB measures aimed at increasing fan involvement and making security clearance and operations at the National Stadium easier for fans.
The PCB and all key stakeholders will work closely in the coming days to provide cricket fans in Karachi with the greatest possible experience for the HBL PSL. Similar measures are being put in place for the HBL PSL 7 Lahore-leg, which begins on Thursday, February 10 and follows the Karachi-leg.
