ISLAMABAD: Test cricketer Yasir Shah has been charged with assisting in the rape and harassment of a 14-year-old girl in a complaint filed at Islamabad’s Shalimar Police Station.
The girl claimed in the first information report (FIR) that Yasir’s companion Farhan raped her at gunpoint, videotaped her trauma, and tormented her.
“When I told Yasir about the encounter on WhatsApp, he made fun of me and stated he liked young females,” the complainant said in the FIR.
The girl further claimed that the Test cricketer had threatened her with “dire repercussions” if she reported the incident to the police.
“Yasir Shah claimed to be a powerful man who knew a high-ranking official […] Yasir Shah and Farhan produce movies and abuse teenage girls,” she said.
“The national cricketer wanted to buy me a flat and handle my bills for the next 18 years,” the complainant said when she approached the police.
